ABOUT THE POSITION

Your five Primary Responsibilities will be:
  • 1. Client Relations
    You’ll be primarily working hand-in-hand with our Associates (the name for the top-tier members of our community), helping to customize the pre-developed website template to fit the needs of their new real estate business.
  • 2. New Associate Web Design
    The main design job you would be working on will involve creating a construction subdomain and transferring the template files from our Google Drive to this new WordPress installation. With the information gathered from client interactions, you’ll customize the site to their liking, submit the draft for approval and, upon approval, transfer the build to their domain (hosted either on our web server or their own).
  • 3. Continued Associate Web Maintenance
    We have currently have almost 40 Associate websites that we’ve launched, with 90% of them owned by active members of our community. For a select list of High 6 Associates and those who have retained us for monthly maintenance services, you’ll perform tasks such as property addition and removal, add new team members or company information to their About page, add/remove testimonials, manage contact form submissions, swap out images in the slider, etc.
  • 4. Sporadic SREC Web Maintenance
    Occasionally, there will be a need for help with our own company websites. Upon request, you would add or update content as needed, design interior pages to reflect established branding, transfer content from other sources to be housed on our main site (blogs, podcasts, etc.), add/remove team members and coaches, create shortlinks for affiliates and live trainings, etc.
  • 5. Web Security and Backup
    With an eye regularly on our websites and server, you’ll be expected to look for any holes in site security and maintain firewalls, download backups of the site and database to store in the cloud, as well as perform similar tasks for Associates.

QUALIFICATIONS

This position is for a person who:
  • Has an understanding of the core principles of design
  • Is a terrific communicator and can handle customer interactions, always aiming for a positive outcome
  • Has a strong sense of attention to detail
  • Has experience with:
    • HTML/CSS
    • WordPress
    • UX/UI
    • Typography
    • Color Theory
    • Web Security
    • Web Server Management
  • Has familiarity with:
    • cPanel
    • phpMyAdmin
    • MySQL® databases
  • Has a sense of urgency and can rise to the occasion
  • Is able to produce at a high level while working remotely
  • Has average to above average experience with the Adobe Creative Suite (namely Photoshop, InDesign, Acrobat) and Microsoft Office

COMPENSATION & OPPORTUNITY FOR GROWTH

This is a part-time freelance position starting at roughly 10-15 hours per week that we see growing to a full-time position within the year. The starting wage is $17 – $20 per hour, based on experience, with a range of benefits available to our full-time team members.
The tasks that we’ve laid out for this position will occupy roughly 10-15 hours per week. Though, as our community continues to grow, so will the need for someone to perform these tasks. While we understand and appreciate how some might want this job purely for the freelance opportunity, we would love to find someone that could become a member of our team on a larger scale and positively impact the web experience for our Associates.
